Elemental alchemy
Fire melts ice wards. Storm charges crystal. Earth shrugs off flame. Learn the triangle, then break it with dual-cast runes.
Spell strategy · browser-first · no download
World of Magic is a pocket spell-strategy adventure: draft elemental runes, spend mana wisely, and break your rival’s ward with one clever combo.
Short sessions, real decisions, and a spellbook that rewards pattern recognition over button-mashing.
Fire melts ice wards. Storm charges crystal. Earth shrugs off flame. Learn the triangle, then break it with dual-cast runes.
Every cast costs focus. Overcommit and your rival’s counterspell ends the round. Undercommit and the ward regenerates.
HP, mana, and ward strength stay visible. No hidden timers—just your next three runes and the courage to play them.
Pick two runes each turn. Match the weakness of the rival’s active ward to deal bonus damage. Survive five rounds or break their HP first.
Rival ward: Crystal — weak to Storm
A rival mage raises a Crystal ward. Draft two runes and cast.
Long before guilds mapped the ley lines, apprentices climbed the Aether Spire barefoot, carrying only a single blank rune stone. At the summit, the wind spoke in harmonics—each tone a forgotten element. Those who listened learned that magic is not power shouted into the dark, but a conversation with the world’s remaining secrets.
World of Magic begins at that summit. You are a freelancing spellwright hired to settle a dispute between two rival academies. Neither side will yield the Spire’s resonance chamber, so the duel is sanctioned: five rounds, open runes, no lethal curses. The winner keeps the chamber for a season; the loser rewrites their thesis.
The demo you play is the first sanctioned clash—short, sharp, and designed so every combo teaches something you can reuse in longer campaigns.
The rival opens with Crystal, Ember, Tide, or Thorn. Each ward has one clear weakness printed beside it.
Click two of the four offered runes. Dual-picking the correct weakness deals bonus damage; mismatched pairs still chip HP but cost full mana.
Press Cast. Mana refreshes partly each round. If your HP hits zero before round five, the rival claims the Spire.
Yes. The duel demo runs entirely in your browser with no account, install, or payment wall. Scores stay on this device.
No. Mouse or touch is enough. Keyboard users can Tab through runes and activate Cast with Enter.
The Spire arc is designed as a series of escalating sanctioned duels. This page ships the opening clash so you can practice the combo language first.
